One foggy shoreline morning A lifetime long ago Was that precious moment You met your fated lover You built a house to show her Your love could last as long You would never part In that cottage built for two And you waited Time will always take the pain away And you wanted Fate will always have to have her way And you waited You are still waiting Today You prayed with half a heart How could you trust God? When he took your love away What was left for you to do? You lived on through your grief You could not leave her grave You watched your town grow old From that cottage built for two And you waited Time will always take the pain away And you wanted Fate will always have to have her way And you waited You are still waiting Today When they buried you You looked on from afar Be it Hell or Heaven Her soul belonged with you From forest to the shoreline From Willapa to Pacific You haunt this town forever From that cottage built for two And you waited Time will always take the pain away And you wanted Fate will always have to have her way And you waited You are still waiting Today

Seileigh 05:45
Her name is Seileigh, Seileigh she said You met her on the ocean in the cool night air Her hair so white and eyes so red You thought you had an answer to those hours of prayer And decided you'd follow wherever she led One day she took your hand when you were just seventeen She came into your life right out of a dream She took you to a downfall you'd be proud of today And made you queen of the rosebuds in May Her name is Seileigh, Seileigh you said No other girl like her on God's whole green earth With hair of moonlight and eyes of dread You say you need to be shown what you're worth And you give your life just to warm her bed One day she took your hand when you were just seventeen She came into your life right out of a dream She took you to a downfall you'd be proud of today And made you queen of the rosebuds in May Oh Seileigh, you have her body Seileigh, you have her soul I only need to know Seileigh, is that enough? Is that enough? Enough? Enough? Her name was Seileigh, Seileigh they said The one who made you naught but a shell With hair of a ghost and eyes of the dead You gave her all but she led you to hell You are fading away but you invoke her instead One day she took your hand when you were just seventeen She came into your life right out of a dream She took you to a downfall you'd be proud of today And made you queen of the rosebuds in May She took you to a downfall you'd be proud of today And made you queen of the rosebuds in May The night you died was the night that Seileigh Took you away

Across the old railroad In a small grove of trees Appears a log cabin Whenever the lake, it does freeze They say that it's haunted To keep children away But I know of children And that's the wrong thing to say Young Natalie Wilson Never did take much to fear Ignored the sheriff's warning Not to trespass here Young Natalie Wilson Just twelve years of age Coerced by a schoolmate Who's seen her mother's drunken rage And little did the townsfolk Suspect they were right But Natalie loved a story With all her might She crossed the old railroad To the small grove of trees And found the log cabin In December's deep freeze And from the lake of silver And from the forest's shadow He said "I am the story That you have searched for "And of moonsilver And wyrdshadow You shall weave me a web Of your human desire." She gave a glance homeward Shaking with fright But she saw only snow In the cold, dark night So she stepped inside the cabin A fire warmed the room But the door closed behind her And waiting was a loom Forty days for the warp Forty nights for the weft She poured her very heart in 'Til only spite was left And from the lake of silver And from the forest's shadow She says "I am the story That you have searched for "And of moonsilver And wyrdshadow You shall weave me a web Of your human desire." A year shall have passed Young Andrew is at the door Give a prayer to the Lord This shall go on no more So when cold December Brings the ice to your lake Stay close to your children That's a path they should not take Perhaps this town is cursed Or it could only be a story But I dare you to tell that To young Andrew or Natalie Because from the lake of silver And from the forest's shadow You'll hear "I am the story That you have searched for "And of moonsilver And wyrdshadow You shall weave me a web Of your human desire."

Silence 02:28
The sun it is rising slowly, surely From the eastern sky Alarm clocks are ringing loudly, early Telling of a new daylight Coffee cups are brewing; sipping, drinking Time for work once more And out the door they're going, thinking Of the whirling noisy world Oh, if silence would fall For one moment of peace If the din of it all For one moment did cease What a beautiful thing That one moment would be And at the end of their work so toilsome, taxing Such a long, long journey home They want to sit and rest, relaxing But the crazy world says no Oh, if silence would fall For one moment of peace If the din of it all For one moment did cease What a beautiful thing That one moment would be

Here I am now, our paths have crossed Our lives brush past, more time is lost Weeks have gone by, more will yet come We take one step, one frame is done The film moves on-- And we dance in slow motion The days grow short, they seem so long Our lives move past, it seems so wrong The time moves on, the world spins past We take one step, the feelings last The film moves on-- And we dance in slow motion Weeks have gone now, weeks must come yet The time must pass, the clock is set You in your wall, me behind mine We take one step, bricks fall with time The film moves on-- And we dance in slow motion Our roads diverge, my week must pass In my own world, lonesome alas What happens next, I do not know We take one step, the tears will flow The film moves on-- And we dance in slow motion

Sisterlover 04:40
Sister, lover Why do I need a reason When you are my season? There is no question No need to explain Sister, lover The way you hold me Your arms enfold me You are the shelter From life's rain With you beside me Your love inside me There is no mountain Too high to climb For sister, lover You are the magic That holds off the tragic You give me shelter From life's pain Yes, you are the shelter From life's pain

Sleep, O babe, for the red bee hums the silent twilight's fall, Aoibheall from the grey rock comes, to wrap the world in thrall. A leanbhan O, my child, my joy, my love my heart's desire, The crickets sing you lullaby, beside the dying fire. Dusk is drawn and the Green Man's thorn is wreathed in rings of fog, Siabhra sails his boat till morn, upon the Starry Bog. A leanbhan O, the paly moon hath brimmed her cusp in dew, And weeps to hear the sad sleep-tune, I sing O love to you. Faintly sweet doth the chapel bell, ring o'er the valley dim, Tearmann's peasant voices swell, in fragrant evening hymn. A leanbhan O, the low bell rings, my little lamb to rest, And angel-dreams till morning sings, its music in your breast.

Storybook 03:45
Read me from your storybook A tale of precious days gone by A chapter of a lifetime When all the world did seem so bright And childhood innocence did fly Into a new tomorrow A turning page A veiled age Twilight falls Upon these storied halls Read me from your storybook A tale of faerie-lighted trees A world within the wooded leaves In pinecone branch and tangled vine Hear a silent voice that sees The misty forest's treasure A turning page A veiled age Twilight falls Upon these storied halls Read me from your storybook A tale to warm the winter night A scene of tender hearts' embrace Where silver waves meet golden sands We'll walk beneath an azure sky And dance in clothes of sunlight A turning page A dawning age The veil falls A new story calls

about

My debut album is a loose concept of songs that tell a story. Tied together like a book of fairy tales, each song stands on its own, but they form a greater whole when put together.
