What happens when the faerie tales are real? When beings beyond human comprehension get hold of us and twist us to their own ends?

One night she went to the seashore
The fog rolled in she couldn’t see more
The city lights faded
Had she known what waited
I might not be singing this song

And on the horizon a ship came
A galleon sailing on the main
She swam out toward it
But she’d never board it
It pulled her into the deep

And she became the sea
But she refused to be
One of the galleon’s daughters
Just like the rest of the water

Years passed and she wasn’t herself
Just salty brine over the coral shelf
She sang out in the mist
To sailors who can’t resist
They’d become part of the ship

So she crawled out of the ocean
Furious, full of emotion
A monster on dry land
Fish-body built by hand
She would not serve anymore

And she became the sea
But she refused to be
One of the galleon’s daughters
Just like the rest of the water

And the galleon prowls the shore again
From Alaska to Seattle and Oregon
When the fog is thicker
She still feels sick for
Her sisters trapped underneath

I sing for the daughters of the sea
For those that manage to get free
They’ll keep on fighting
Always uniting
Till the galleon sinks once and for all
